Dear Parkview Family & Friends…
We’re so excited to share with you we can safely come together for worship every Sunday!
Our plan is simple:
Parkview will have 2 worship services…
· This will enable us to stay within the recommended 50% capacity percentages and to accomplish the required rules for social distancing of 6 feet.
· We are asking those who normally come to the 9:30am Bible Study hour to attend the 9:30am worship service, then, those who don’t normally attend 9:30am Bible Study hour to attend the 10:45am worship service.
Now…keep in mind:
· If you have pre-existing conditions or if you are in the senior citizen age range…please, do not feel any pressure to attend…we want you to stay home and safe until further restrictions are lifted.
· Also, we will not be offering kids or youth ministry at this time. Bible Study groups will not be meeting until we can ease back into these environments.
We want you to know, we will be simplying our worship service at first and then begin to expand as we continue to ease into fully re-opening. Therefore:
· Only the Sanctuary and the Bathrooms will be open…both will be cleaned and sanitized before Sunday…as well as in between services.
· We are asking everyone to PLEASE TAKE YOUR TEMPERATURE BEFORE coming to church… if you have a temperature…STAY HOME!
· If you have a mask, please wear it until restrictions are lifted. Please note that if you don’t have a mask, we can provide one for you.
· You may wear gloves…but not required. Gloves will also be provided if you prefer to wear them.
· We will have one entrance (in front of building) and you will exit from the two side exits (near the stage).
· Sanitizer will be available when you enter and exit.
· Evangels will be passed out by ushers wearing gloves.
· We will not have “kids church”…families may sit together, otherwise, we will all need to practice social distancing of 6 feet apart.
· We will not have a praise team or choir on stage.
· Offerings, Connection Cards & Prayer Sheets will be taken at the doors in order to prevent passing plates, etc.
As your pastor, I want you to know we love you and we miss you and I will do my best to keep us all informed in Next Steps for Parkview & updates weekly…here are ways you can stay connected with your Parkview Family if you can’t attend:
CHURCH ACTIVITIES are suspended until we can safely move into the next phase to open.

NEW SERMON SERIES BEGINS AUGUST 16th!
On Sunday, August 9th, we will begin a series we’re calling “RESIDENT” (Resident is defined: “one who resides in a place; a person who lives somewhere permanently or on a long-term basis.” When we invite Jesus into our lives, He begins to do a renovation in the various rooms of our heart.
As a special gift, everyone present will receive a copy of a little book called “My Heart, Christ’s Home”...written by Bob Munger (over 10 million sold). Now, more than ever, as Christ followers we need to realize that we are not alone (even though some are in isolation due to Covid-19). God is with us and desires an ongoing relationship in every area of our lives. It’s my prayer that we will all take advantage of this unprecedented season to grow in our relationship with God! When you open the door of your heart to Jesus and allow Him to enter in…the Lord begins to do a renovation project inside of you! During this series, we will take a careful look at the various rooms of our heart: the study, the living room, the bedroom, the hall closet, etc…and we will learn what Jesus desires to do in each of these areas. In Revelation 3:20, Jesus said, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.”
In addition, we are going to offer discussion handouts to be used with family or friends in your home or as a round table discussion or as a personal study to encourage your spiritual growth and time with the Lord. There is a distinction between Jesus being a guest in my life, and Jesus actually owning every room of my heart! Don’t miss this special series, gift book and study guide and thanks for joining us in the journey of following Jesus!
Encouraging Generations to Take their Next Step with God!
LET’S ALL BE A BLESSING…BLESSING BOXES AVAILABLE TODAY!
MORE “BLESSING BOXES” are NOW available following each worship service! “This is a great way to meet a need but we see it as a great way to share the Gospel!” I personally want to encourage all of us to think of someone in our neighbor we could bless by taking them a box of food and to pray for God to open a door to share the gospel…this is what Jesus did, He met someone’s physical need and then their spiritual need. Special thanks to Doug Ford & John Lewis for helping pickup, load and unload 500 Blessing Boxes!

FEELING DEPRESSED, STRESSED, OR LACKING ENERGY? HERE’S A TIP!
Given current events, I think we would all agree that it’s never been more important to appreciate just how relevant health and fitness are to our very existence. Fitness is a universal language, one that each of us speaks in our own dialect. It comes in many forms, from weight lifting and cardio, to all forms of recreational sports. Whatever it may be, it’s an important part of our lives.
Staying fit improves our quality of life, our emotional and mental health, and even inspires those around us. A balanced approach to exercise and health is what the Christian should pursue. We should exercise – it is good for our bodies as well as for our moods. We should take care of our health. However, in these pursuits we must not lose sight of God…let me encourage you to get outside, walk, ride a bike, listen to worship music…you’ll sense God’s presence in His creation and you will be encouraged, strengthened, and discover renewed energy!
And remember this: the reason we care for our bodies is not to prolong our own lives or gain popularity; it is because we value and desire to steward God's gift to us. All journeys begin with the first step. It’s often the toughest one to take but its well worth it. See, you matter to God and your health and overall well-being matter. So, the world around us may be in chaos, but I encourage you to think of your relationship with God, your family, and your health & well being…all else will fall into place.
HOW YOU CAN SERVE YOUR COMMUNITY???
What comes to mind when you think about your neighbors? Maybe you don’t know them very well or, if you’re honest, maybe you think the lady across the street is a bit different. For many of us, it can be tempting to keep our distance and mind our own business in our neighborhood. But is that really how God wants us to live? As followers of Jesus, we’ve been called to love both God and our neighbors. It’s easier said than done during our current Covid-19 pandemic, but if we push past the fear, uncomfortable barriers, and pride that can keep us from engaging with others, we can build deep connections with the people in our neighborhood and, most importantly, honor God in hopes of reaching our community for Christ.
HOW SHOULD I RESPOND SPIRITUALLY TO THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)?
The coronavirus (COVID-19) is yet one more reminder that we live in a fallen world of sickness, sin, suffering, and death. Ultimately, none of us are immune to any of these things. But that’s why the gospel is such good news. God has not left us alone in this world of sickness, sin, suffering, and death. He has come to us in the person of Jesus. The greatest news in all the world is that Jesus lived a life with no sin, died on a cross to pay the price for our sin, and rose from the grave in victory over sin and death. Now anyone anywhere who turns from their sins and trusts in Jesus will be forgiven of all their sin and restored to relationship with God forever. That means that through Jesus, we never have to fear sickness or death because we know we have eternal life with God.
If you do not know that you have eternal life with God, we urge you to put your faith in Jesus. And if you do know that you have eternal life with God, we urge you to share your faith in Jesus with others. Times like these remind us all of the fragility of life and the inevitability of death. So let’s spread the greatest news that death has been defeated and eternal life is available to all who trust in Jesus.
GOT STORIES? Please share how God is working in your life and community!
I look forward to sharing some of the stories folks have shared already. If you have a story, please take a moment to share an email with us at: firstname.lastname@example.org

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is, Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other command greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31
I want to personally thank you for being so flexible and supportive during this unprecedented time. Our faith is in God. We know He will provide for us every step of the way. He is faithful, dependable, and reliable. One day we will look back on this moment – and with unity and love – we will celebrate God’s goodness and faithfulness.
