Parkview Worship
Usually when people ask about worship, they are really asking about the style of music and how people dress.
The most important aspect of worship isn’t the kind of music or the clothing. It’s spending time in the presence of God, listening to Him. We try each Sunday to make sure that the worship service is built about exalting the name of Jesus.
We sing a mixture of contemporary praise and worship music and hymns. We have a worship choir and praise team which sing each Sunday. Instrumental music is provided by a pianist, keyboard, and insturmentalists. The Lord has blessed Parkview with a great choir. Some of our members not only sing within the choir but also sing solos, or are parts of smaller groups in many styles. The choir is “no-audition,” so if you can carry a tune and enjoy using the talent God has given you to help others worship our Lord, then you would make a great addition to this ministry.
We decided long ago that how people dress would not be an issue. Instead we want to be a people who accept others regardless of what they are wearing. On any given Sunday, a worshiper will see others coming into the sanctuary in dresses and suits, as well as women wearing slacks and men without ties. Jeans and shorts are also common sights. In other words, it’s not about what you are wearing. It’s about why you have come.
You are invited to give us a try. You might find this kind of worship is exactly what you’ve been looking for.
